You can file DSARs with the companies people pay and shop with every day, from car brands, banks, and grocery stores to streaming services, utilities, and 401k funds, plus the data brokers who quietly trade our information behind the scenes. How to Read Your Report
Depending on what state you're from, your report could include the basics they have on you (name, address, phone), guesses about your income and lifestyle, inferences about your shopping, health & money, and the third parties they sold your data to.

FAQ / What to Expect
In most states, like California, companies have up to 45 days to respond. And they can request an extension for an additional 45 days to respond. Some requests can take a couple of minutes or days to get back to you.
Some companies will ask for a photo ID to "verify your identity" before sending the data. Other companies will ask for more detailed information about you, but that data legally can't be used for anything other than your data request.
Usually a big zip file full of CSVs or JSON files. You'll see every purchase, location ping, ad interaction, and customer service chat they've logged.
